One of the most Promising Flute players from her generation

Ana is a Portuguese flute player better known her deep dark sound and her strong stage presence.

Ana is a regular presence in some of the most proeminent European Festivals such as Musicvrein Festival, Salzburg Festival, Bolzano Festival, Ravelo Festival, Saarbrucken Festival, InClassica Festival Dubai, Santander Festival, Porto PianoFest or Pharos Arts Foundation Festival where Ana was able to perform in-stage alongside Misha Maisky, Daishin Kashimoto and Andrey Baranov.

Ana collaborates regularly with Berliner Kammer-Philarmonie, where she has been First Flute since 2022. She is also collaborating with Maestro Antonio Vitorino D’Almeida GAUDEAMOS Project.

Ana has a recognition by Her Majesty Queen Doña Sofia of Spain as the “most outstanding student” of the 2021-2022 flute course.

Ana is currently on the second year of her PhD in Artistic Studies at the Faculty of Letters of Universidade de Coimbra.

2013

Won the prize for best student in the instrumentalist course in ARTAVE - Escola Profissional Artística do Vale do Ave, Santo Tirso, Portugal.

2013-2016

Joined the Michael Bellevance class at HEM Genève, Switzerland, where she finished her degree with the highest marks and the jury's distinction at the final recital, as a scholarship student of the Fondation Hélène et Victor Barbour

2016-2018

Continued her studies with Julien Beaudiment at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Misique et Danse de Lyon, France, with a scholarship from the Clouste Gulbenkian Foundatian. Here, Ana completed her master's degree in performance with a mention from the jury: "Trés Bien à lunanimité".

2019

Studied with Vinces Prats at Escuela Superior de Músia de Catalonia in Barcelona, Spain. In this year, Ana was also selected as 1st flute of the Gustav Mahler Jugenorchester where she was resident until 2021.

2020-2022

Ana chose the Escuela Superior Reina Sofia in Madrid, Spain, for a postgraduate course with Jacques Zoon. She ended up being recognized by Her Majesty Queen Doña Sofia as "the most outstanding student" of the 2021-2022 course. Ana received support from the Santander Portugal Foundation (2020-2021) and EDP Foundation (2022).
